I’ve been hearing a lot of talk recently about how certain companies are very reluctant on giving out samples to bloggers. Why?? well… where do I start? It’s because of the individuals I like to call ‘The Beauty Blaggers’  Bloggers that blag their way into getting samples off  respected companies and then sell them to make a quick buck.

I’m a full-time Beauty and Fashion photographer who has a passion for beauty and good skincare, after falling ill 3 years ago my skin suffered so badly I decided to seek out skincare companies that would help my skin regain its youthful glow, once I started getting back into work all my models, Makeup artists etc would always ask me what skincare brand I use and what I was doing to get my skin looking so radiant. I would go on to tell them my recent finds and what really worked for me. It then became a regular thing where I was receiving emails from followers of my work who would ask the same kind of questions hence why I started my blog. Even though I’m a busy London woman I write a blog because of my passion for good healthy skincare and the best cosmetics. I really feel that these so called beauty bloggers should be ashamed of themselves, yes as bloggers we may receive free samples but in return we do a whole lot more, we as consumers give an honest opinion on the latest products that are launched, let’s be honest, are you really going to get an honest opinion from the girl who selling you the brand on the counter? No.. she is going to tell you that the product you are buying is the best thing in the world and if that were the case then everything would be perfect and the world would be such an amazing place. Lets face it, not everything we buy is perfect nor does it always work. As beauty bloggers we are here to review products and give you an honest opinion on our findings. We also boost sales of  the products we blog about thus helping the company and we also advertise said products too. I honestly think that Beauty bloggers are not always given the credit and respect that they do actually deserve. Were not all painted with the same brush I can assure you. So on a last note ‘Beauty Blaggers’ stop giving us honest Bloggers a bad name!! We do what we do through our Love for blogging not to make a quick buck 🙂 Enough said!!!

Caudalie was created in 1995 by Bertrand and Mathilde Thomas, their belief in natural formulas carried them forward and for more than 15 years they have been researching with Dr. Vercauteren from the university of Pharmacy of Bordeaux (France).

I went along to the press launch of Caudalie’s new moisturiser ‘Vinosource Quenching Sorbet-Creme’. It was a lovely event at Caudalie’s head office in london. On arrival I was greeted and introduced to John the Director of the company and Loraine the beauty expert and was offered refreshments. After having a little natter with the fellow bloggers we were asked to sit through a presentation on the company and the new product. After the presentation ended we were all whisked upstairs to have a play with the product and have a one-on-one consultation with the Caudalie Beauty expert. Loraine (Beauty expert) had an in-depth chat with me about my skin and its concerns, after examining my skin she then wrote me a prescription of Caudalie products and handed me over a lovely Caudalie goody bag.

Funny enough I learnt so much at the presentation, my pen could not write fast enough :p.

Caudalie team up with Dr Joseph Vercauteren and established an exclusive patent for extracting and stabilizing grape seed polyphenols. These Polyphenols are apparently the best antioxidants known to the plant world and can only be founded in vine. Some of the key ingredients you will find in the ‘Vinosource Quenching Sorbet-Creme’:

Grape water When the vine is subjected to very harsh weather conditions it protects itself, storing its water in it shoots and roots. Grape water is extracted during the harvesting period. It is rich in Polysaccharides that have the ability to capture and conserve the quantity it needs within its cells. Clinical results show a 127% increase in hydration immediately after application. Grape water is also rich in potassium and calcium which help to sooth the skin. Clinical test show that it reduces discomfort and dryness by 62%.

Vinolevure-  (Exclusive to Caudalie) is a molecule extracted from the walls of wine yeast. It has hydration, strengthening qualities and can conserve up to 100 times its weight in water, this prevents dehydration of the epidermis.

Grape-seed Polyphenols- The grape seed Polyphenols are the most powerful antioxidants in the plant kingdom and are 10,000 times more effective than Vitamin E (how interesting). They act as a shield for the skin protecting from any external damage and helping the skin to maintain its hyaluronic acid content. They also protect the skin’s collagen fibres and elastin.

The ingredients sound so important and amazing, I am very much looking forward to get cracking and bring you guys some reviews after I have used the range. Caudalie lovers… I want to hear from you, what are your favorite products and why do you love the brand so much? Contact me I would love to hear from you 🙂

Here are some images from the press Launch today 🙂

I know I have already posted a review about this product but I really feel the need to write a more in-depth one. The Liz Earle range has been around for 15 years and in that time the formula for the ever so popular ‘Cleanse and Polish’ has never changed, this powerful concoction is suited for all ages and all skin types. The Plant based cleanser has a two-step action, Step 1 The cleansing: The rich creamy cleanser removes all traces of dirt, makeup and belive it or not stubborn eye makeup and mascara, you gently pump a small amount on to your fingertips and massage over your face. Step 2 The polishing: Using the muslin cloth which is provided with the cleanser you soak it in warm water, rinse and throughly wipe your face, this helps to remove all traces of dead skin cells leaving you with soft radiant and not to mention ‘Polished’ skin.

Some of the main naturally active ingredients you will find in ‘Cleanse and Polish’ include: Eucalyptus and coca butter. Since using this I have seen such a difference in my skin. First time users I urge you to do this in front of the mirror, take note of what your skin looks like before you use this cleanser, after applying and polishing of with your muslin cloth take another look, you can see the difference in your skin right away. It truly is amazing, this product for me has become a must have and has been added to my desert island beauty list!!

Ladies if you are a Liz Earle fan I would love to hear from you. What do you think about the products and what are your must haves from the range?

Cleanse and Polish: £13 and comes with 2x Muslin cloths
