Founder and creative Director François Nars has always had a fascination with Japanese culture., especially the concept of Kabuki makeup. After travelling to Japan many years back he bought back with him a small pot of Japanese Kabuki makeup for the lips.

After many years, debuting this Christmas is the ‘Bento Box Set’- a limited edition set of two Kabuki cups that were hand-poured with a new exclusive to NARS lipstick formula in highly pigmented shades containing Vitamin E, also included is a Kabuki Lip brush, designed to give you the best and precise application.

I’m totally in love with NARS makeup at the moment! Ever since my invite to try out the Pure Matte lipstick (which I cannot live without BTW) I have been so intrigued by the brand! What do I find so intriguing you ask? Well…. the fact that they have not been bought out my Estee Lauder is probably NO.1 on my list! (it guarantee’s the quality of makeup) Yes I did just make a dig….. and what! Also the fact that besides being such a big brand its stayed quite small and true! Anyhoo.. moving on, the NARS holiday collection is ‘Right up my street’.

OKINAWA £32 – The name inspired by Japan.. these exotic colours do encompass its name! The shade of triad silver, deep cobalt blue and black onyx are sooo amazing! You can really create some amazing looks with these! Stand out this season with a smokey eye with a hint of originality!

Melusine £23 – From the meaning free, spirited woman, this modern eyeshadow duo really is something! The pale silver lilac and matte purple work in harmony to achieve an eye-popping look! Create a contoured eye look with or try putting the pale silver over the purple for that extra hint of fabulosity!

Etrusque £16- This amazing shade of antique gold can be used wet or dry! It really does light up your lids and gives that real va va voom effect! I’m a sucker for gold eyeshadow and this one is really special! I love the antique hue that makes it timeless!

Sex Appeal £19.50 – “you either have it, or… you can get it” A soft peach blush that gives a moment of calm throughout this holiday collection! It’s a light shade that gives real depth to the contours of your cheeks!

Petit Monstre £17 – Meaning ‘Little monster’ this luscious berry pigment has a satin luxurious finish. A fabulous colour for this season!

Little Darling £17 – The perfect shade of Nude! This romantic shade of lippy is soo me! Those of you who know me, know how much I love my nude lips! Great for that natural look and sheer enough to be coupled with another one of your favorite NARS lippy!!

Downtown £17 – More of a busy lifestyle than a real place. This party perfect metallic pink gloss will have you lips ready for the party season in a flash. Also contains an  iridescent shimmer for that extra something, something!!

Bougainville £17 –  This amazing pomegranate lipgloss infuses lips with a dramatic splash of colour! It has a deep pigment but yet quite sheer to wear! Be a show stopping diva wearing this baby!!
