Ok so I have to be honest, this product doesn’t have the wow factor like its sister products (Skin balancing cleanser andExfoliating 2% Beta Hydroxy Acid Gel ) however it does what it needs to do. Simple and boring it may be.. compared to the other products which work wonders, this Moisture gel is simple, clean and to the point, understandably something you need when you are using so many other different products.

The moisture Gel is a great add-on after you have used the Exfoliating 2% Beta Hydroxy Acid Gel. The super light antioxidant rich formula helps hydrate the skin without a trace of greaseiness. Suitable for all skin types especially oily skin types. It really does help to balance out  the oil levels in your skin which is great.

Another great product from the fabulous Paula aka ‘The cosmetics cop’

One of the main things a woman is always searching for… (no not the perfect black cocktail dress) is a anti-aging moisturiser. You’d think with all the options currently available the perfect anti aging formula would be an easy find, however most anti-aging formulas that you see don’t exactly do what they promise and at the prices we now see on the high street with Moisturisers selling at £25 + this can be a major problem, not to mention a waste of money!

Paula Begoun aka ‘The cosmetics cop’ brings us her Resist range. A quick, easy and stress free system which consists of two products the ‘Resist Barrier Repair Moisturiser’ and the ‘Rest Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum’

The ‘Resist Barrier Repair Moisturiser’ is a silky formula that provides hydration to all skin types and reduces free radical and environmental damage. The magic formulation helps ‘Resist’ wrinkles and is also great for sensitive and rosacea skin types.

Being aged 24 I don’t just yet have the need to use a anti-aging moisturiser however there is a strong need for me to review them for my readers, so my lovely mother reviews all the anti-aging ranges for me.

My mum being aged 45 has pretty good skin, with the normal signs of aging being open pores, loss of elasticity and fine lines around the eyes. She is always on the hunt for a good moisturiser and found Paula’s choice Resist range very good. After just two weeks of using the ‘Resist Barrier Moisturiser’ there was a noticeable difference, pores were reduced in size and the skins elasticity had improved, the skin is also very soft, hydrated and makeup sits very well compared to when using other moisturisers. In all a great anti-aging moisturiser, if you’re looking for results and are fed up of paying high street prices, try out Paula’s Choice Resist range and let me know how you get on. It’s always nice to have feedback on products I review. If you are a Paula’s Choice user please tell me about your experience with the range, I would love to hear from you 🙂

After cleansing your face with Paula’s Choice skin balancing cleanser and applying the fabulous Skin balancing toner (review to come shortly) You apply this magic non sticky, light weight gel over your face and then finish with Paula’s choice skin balancing gel.

This exfoliater gel glides on to the skin so easily, penetrating and minimising pores. I have noticed how clean and smooth my skin looks, I apply it either daily or every two days and it has worked wonders for me. I don’t break out as much and my pores seem minimised. This formula is also known to work well on acne scaring and is helps to eliminate any redness. The fragrance free gel contains Salicylic acid which is known for its natural anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties which also helps to Stimulates collagen production for firmer, younger-looking skin.

This product really is amazing for keeping your skin in check. My skin is bright, clean and smooth. I very rarely break out and when I do they are practically gone the very next day. I find it very easy to use as it’s a gel you put on under your moisturiser, not a daily scrub you have to use 3 times a week. It makes my daily routine much easier knowing that I am getting the benefits of an exfoliator everyday. I  recommend this product to teenagers who have a hormonal skin. I’m sure this will work wonders to clear up your skin and have it looking fresh in no time.

It seems that more and more women are trying to make a change in the world of skincare and beauty. Recently the rise in skincare brands has really risen, each trying to offer the very best in skincare but how do we know that the offered products will work and give us the long-term benefits that we need instead of just results that last a few weeks and then stop working? Some of you may believe that plastic surgery and other alternative treatments like Botox can be the answer to some of your problems but I have always been a firm believer in ‘GOOD’ skincare. I think we really need to go back to basics and source out individuals who know the industry and find skincare brands that really do have the ingredients that work well and impact our skin.

Paula Begoun also known as ‘The cosmetics cop’ is a US based beauty expert and his been in the industry for 30 years, she has many published books which give you extensive knowledge into the beauty industry. Her expertise have lead her to appear on various shows including Oprah, CNN and The today show. She is also a consultant to dermatologists, plastic surgeons, major cosmetic companies and industry insiders. This woman really does sound like the ‘superwoman’ of the beauty industry.

Paula’s New book ‘Dont go to the cosmetics counter without me’ 8th edition is now available to buy. It delves deep into the beauty industry with a compilation of skincare facts really allowing you to get to grips with how certain products work and how to achieve the best results for your skin type. There is also a section for product reviews and beauty must haves. Some of the titled chapters in the book are ‘Why you need a cosmetics cop!’ ‘The best products’ and ‘How to take the best care of your skin’. I’m not sure about you but I have just added this book to the top of my reading list.

Paula has also launched her own range of skincare called ‘Paula’s Choice’, an in depth range targeting all skin types. A woman with so much experience why wouldn’t she?  Over the next few weeks I will be extensively testing Paula’s skincare range and really getting to know her products, I will also be reading her book to see what beauty tips she has for me.

You can buy Paula’s new book online and view her Skincare line at www.Paulaschoice.co.uk

Let me know how you get on and your thoughts on the book and the range 🙂 I will be posting regular reviews on the products im using so keep and eye out.
