It seems that more and more women are trying to make a change in the world of skincare and beauty. Recently the rise in skincare brands has really risen, each trying to offer the very best in skincare but how do we know that the offered products will work and give us the long-term benefits that we need instead of just results that last a few weeks and then stop working? Some of you may believe that plastic surgery and other alternative treatments like Botox can be the answer to some of your problems but I have always been a firm believer in ‘GOOD’ skincare. I think we really need to go back to basics and source out individuals who know the industry and find skincare brands that really do have the ingredients that work well and impact our skin.
Paula Begoun also known as ‘The cosmetics cop’ is a US based beauty expert and his been in the industry for 30 years, she has many published books which give you extensive knowledge into the beauty industry. Her expertise have lead her to appear on various shows including Oprah, CNN and The today show. She is also a consultant to dermatologists, plastic surgeons, major cosmetic companies and industry insiders. This woman really does sound like the ‘superwoman’ of the beauty industry.
Paula’s New book ‘Dont go to the cosmetics counter without me’ 8th edition is now available to buy. It delves deep into the beauty industry with a compilation of skincare facts really allowing you to get to grips with how certain products work and how to achieve the best results for your skin type. There is also a section for product reviews and beauty must haves. Some of the titled chapters in the book are ‘Why you need a cosmetics cop!’ ‘The best products’ and ‘How to take the best care of your skin’. I’m not sure about you but I have just added this book to the top of my reading list.
Paula has also launched her own range of skincare called ‘Paula’s Choice’, an in depth range targeting all skin types. A woman with so much experience why wouldn’t she? Over the next few weeks I will be extensively testing Paula’s skincare range and really getting to know her products, I will also be reading her book to see what beauty tips she has for me.
